Leonard Walter Houser, 91, formerly of Slatington, died Nov. 13, 2024, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall.

He was the husband of the late Norma J. (Zundel) Houser.

Born April 6, 1933, in Branch Township, Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late William Franklin and Isabelle Elsie (Snagusky) Houser.

He taught seventh grade social studies in the Northern Lehigh School District, formerly Slatington Junior High School, for 36 years before retiring.

He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Slatington.

His survivors include children Carol A. Weida of Walnutport, Leonard W. Houser Jr. (Tracy) of Bowmanstown, Colleen A. Redline (Kevin) of Bremen, Maine, and Kathleen J. Mack (Daniel) of Kutztown; grandchildren Crystal Weida, Jared and Jason Houser, Adam Redline, and Jacob and Emly Mack; and great-grandchildren Davyn Hankee, Audrey Houser and Cole Houser.
