Student designs dance works

Choreographer Sanchel Brown, based in Philadelphia, brought her unique movement style to the stage as last year’s Baker Artist-in-Residence, Muhlenberg College, Allentown.

Her work premiered in last spring’s final performance, Spring Studio Sessions, which ran May 1-3 in the Studio Theatre, Trexler Pavilion for Theatre and Dance.

The concert also featured new works by Mary Powell from Schnecksville, ’24, who choreographed “Going now. Going where?” under the artistic direction of faculty member Elizabeth June Bergman.

Brown’s residency is supported by the Dexter F. and Dorothy H. Baker Foundation.
