Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am currently enrolled in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.

Q. Who is in your family? Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets

A. My mom, Riffat, my dad, Ahmad and my sister, Arisha.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is sociology because I love learning about diverse cultures and how people function in a society.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I applied to National Society of High School Scholars this summer and other than that I cannot fully remember.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. I am involved in best buddies and sewing for charity.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My goal after high school is to attend college for a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge right now is learning how to drive. I get nervous a lot but I am working on it!

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as a kind, intelligent and gentle person who always looked out for others and tried her best to be the best version of herself.

Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with any historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?

A. If I could spend one evening with an historically significant person, it would be Van Gogh. His paintings carry a lot of emotions and I feel sympathetic to his life story, How he painted beautiful art despite being in tough situations.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice to my peers is to learn from other’s mistakes and experiences. You learn valuable lessons that way and keep yourself from making mistakes that could have been avoided. Yes I know experience is the best teacher but learning from the experiences of others can be good.
