Macungie Borough Council met Nov. 18 at Macungie Institute for its regularly scheduled meeting and approved the 2025 budget. There is no tax increase for this coming year.

Sewer rates will increase but have not done so since 2017. While the rates look much higher, the elimination of the debt service makes rates lower than they were in 2017.

An ordinance was approved for the 2025 sewer rates.

New Category 5 cables were approved for the second floor of borough hall. These cables are to improve internet and computer service. They are being purchased from Lantek for $1,744.99.

Ordinance 2024-04 for RV regulations has been tabled again to make minor changes before advertising.

The Mavis Tire agreement Highway Occupancy Permit application was approved.
