Charles D. Stettler, 82, of Allen Township, died Nov. 11, 2024, at home. He was the husband of the late Emma R. (Tomasitz) Stettler.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of Clarence J. and Dorothy I. (Medland) Stettler.

He was a 1960 graduate of Northampton High School.

He served his country as a 101st Screaming Eagle paratrooper in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963.

He worked at and ran his family’s roofing business as a third-generation roofer with Stettler Roofing, Northampton, for 43 years before retiring in 2018.

He is survived by a daughter, Pamela R. and husband Stephen Csencsits of Northampton; a brother, Donald of Newark, Del.; a sister, Carolyn and husband Ronald Milisits of New Tripoli; a grandson, Trevor Pelaez; two great-grandchildren, Serenity and Carter; nieces; and nephews.
