Catasauqua: American Legion plans dinner
Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., will hold a Salisbury steak dinner 5-7 p.m. Nov. 22. The meal also includes mashed potatoes and green beans.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will be having a pancake breakfast 8:30-11 a.m. Nov. 23. There will be buttermilk or pumpkin pancakes and sausage links. Baked goods will also be available.
Cost is by donation.
Proceeds benefit the pastor’s discretionary fund.

The Biery House Holiday Shoppe, 8 Race St., Catasauqua, will continue to be open to the public 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 8. It will also be open Black Friday, Nov. 29.

There will be a Thanksgiving celebration in the fellowship hall at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church Nov. 25. Sample breads from around the world starting 6 p.m., and the service begins in the sanctuary 7 p.m.
All are invited to join for either or both gatherings.
The service will be a joint celebration with participation by churches in Whitehall, Northampton and Catasauqua. During the service, there will be a combined choir from the church, plus Catasauqua Community Choir.
In lieu of an offering, participants are encouraged to bring nonperishable items, such as soup, cereal, macaroni and cheese, pasta, marinara sauce, boxed pasta, jelly, pancake mix, pancake syrup, facial tissues and toilet paper. These items will be shared by local food pantries. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
