Salisbury’s cross country teams competed in the Colonial League Championships last Wednesday at DeSales University.
The Falcon boys team was led by Gregory Tenzer in 53rd place, followed by teammates Emerson Juhasz (59th), Cameron Kubinsky (65th), Joshua Orach (85th) and Rafael Carpo (96th) to round out Salisbury’s team score.
Riley Nemetz (98th) and Jonah Nemitz (100th) also ran in the league championship race for Salisbury. The Falcons finished 12th in the team standings last week.
Palmerton’s Connor Hibell repeated as boys champ, finishing in 16:43.20 to beat Bangor’s Aiden Twist (17:01.34) to the tape.
In the girls race, Salisbury’s Samantha Conrad led the team with an 83rd-place finish, followed by teammates Soledad Lausch (84th) and Shelby Tenzer (87th).
With just three runners Salisbury did not score as a team at the event.
Saucon Valley’s Virginia Kraus repeated as the girls champ, running the course in 17:55.98. The two-time defending state champ finished far ahead of Wilson’s Avery Errico (19:16.65), who took second place.
Notre Dame (Green Pond) won the girls team title over second-place Wilson with Southern Lehigh third.
