Library offering programs for kids, teens and adults
Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is offering baby story time for kids ages birth to 15 months with an adult caregiver from 9:30-10 a.m. and from 10:30-11 a.m. Nov. 18.
The library staff will share simple books, lap bounces, rhymes, and songs — all designed to help babies build important social, motor, and early literacy skills.

Preschool Story Time for kids ages 3-5 will take place 10-10:45 a.m. and 11-11:45 a.m. on Nov. 21.
There will be story time and a craft.

The library’s coloring club for adults will take place 2-4 p.m. Nov. 21.
Spend an afternoon coloring.

Yarn lovers of all ages and skill levels are welcome to attend the Not Just Knitting group from 2-4 p.m. Nov. 21.
Bring your materials for an afternoon of knitting with friends and swapping tips.

Adults, join library staff for their monthly Fiber Art Sit and Sewing session from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Nov. 16.
Come along and socialize, ask for advice, or whatever else you might need.
Don’t forget to bring your sewing machine (or your hand-sewing materials), your fabric, your notions, your extension cord, and your enthusiasm for sewing.
The library will provide a cutting mat, an iron, and an ironing board.
Registration is encouraged to reserve access to an outlet.
Drop-ins are also welcome to attend.

Holiday card making with Susan Bristol will take place 1-2:30 p.m. on Nov. 16.
The class will include all supplies necessary to make a holiday card.

There will be a chair yoga class for adults from 10:30-11:15 a.m. on Nov. 18.
Chair yoga is a gentle, therapeutic, and accessible form of yoga that uses a chair as a primary prop to modify traditional yoga poses so they can be done while seated and practiced by anyone.

Yoga instructor Larissa Noto with The Lovely Little Lotus will provide Yoga Story Time for kids ages 3-8 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Nov. 18.

A Teen’s Dungeon and Dragon Night for kids in grades seven through 12 will take place 6-8 p.m. Nov. 18.

Idea Lab for adults interested in exploring new ideas and creating something unique will take place 1 p.m. on Nov. 19.

Book Club will meet from 7-8 p.m. on Nov. 19.

The Rebel Girls Club based on the book series “Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls” will take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 20.
This club is intended to empower young girls ages 8-12 to grow up confident and inspired to do great things.
Activities will include creating Vision Boards and Confidence Boxes, Setting Goals, and learning how a weekly planner can help plan ways that we can make an impact and be extraordinary in our families and communities.

The teen drawing club for students in grades five through 10 will take place 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 20.
Drawing materials and snacks will be provided.

An unplugged acoustic jam night for adults will take place 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 21.
Come to play, sing, or listen to this jam session which will include Old-time, Bluegrass and Celtic/Irish genres.
Musicians will welcome guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, dulcimer, and upright bass.
