Reckless endangerment
A motorist discovered a bullet fragment lodged in her rear right vehicle door after driving on Limeport Road, Upper Milford Township, between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was traveling north on Limeport Road when she heard something strike her vehicle, according to authorities.
Scam
A Lower Macungie Township resident was swindled out of $50,000 after someone unknown to the resident sent a text, persuaded the resident to begin corresponding by an instant messaging service and ultimately persuaded the resident to transfer money into a cryptocurrency account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Aug. 23.
Theft
A package containing Halloween costumes and baby formula, with a total value of $140, was removed from the front steps of a residence along Stein Way, Lower Macungie Township, 4 p.m. Oct. 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Two Social Security checks, with a total value of $1,931, were removed from a mailbox at a residence along Apple Lane, Lower Macungie Township, between Aug. 7 and Aug. 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Someone allegedly removed 20 peaches from a peach tree at a residence along Pine Tree Road, Lower Milford Township, between 5 p.m. Aug. 5 and 5 p.m. Aug. 6, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The peaches were valued at $10.
A shopper at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, realized her smartphone and case, with a total value of $1,200, were missing after she finished her shopping. The incident was reported Aug. 20.
A shopper learned her debit card was missing after someone approached her after she used a self-checkout terminal at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:35 p.m. Aug. 29. The card was later used to withdraw $1,000, according to authorities.
A Lower Macungie Township resident believed her debit card information was stolen while she was in Maryland and $200 reportedly was removed from her account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident reported the incident Aug. 26 at the Pennsylvania State Police station, Schantz Road.
Criminal mischief
A vehicle was vandalized while parked at a location along Chestnut Street, Upper Milford Township, between 7-11 p.m. Aug. 8, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Aug. 9.
An 18-year-old male, of Whitehall, allegedly broke and damaged side mirrors on a vehicle parked at Wawa, 4900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 3:43 p.m. Aug. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male allegedly was yelling before breaking the mirrors. Damage was estimated at $607.38.
Identity theft
A resident of Mohr Circle, Lower Macungie Township, learned his personal information was used to open a savings account after receiving a bank account statement by mail, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The resident contacted the bank and was told his personal information was used to open the account. The incident was reported Aug. 10.
Harassment
A 42-year-old female, of Zionsville, allegedly created a disturbance at a residence along Leh Street, Lower Milford Township, 8:10 p.m. Sept. 1, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
An intoxicated male allegedly yelled at his neighbors, created a disturbance and fought with another person at a location along Farmington Drive, Lower Macungie Township, Aug. 26, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 30-year-old male, of East Greenville and a 45-year-old male, of Blandon, reportedly fought at their workplace in the 7000 block of Alburtis Road, Lower Macungie Township, during work hours July 1 to July 2, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A 62-year-old male, of Zionsville, allegedly fought with another person about items in a shared garage at a location along Kings Highway South, Upper Milford Township, 11:48 p.m. Sept. 27, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Public drunkenness
A 32-year-old female, of Palm, was taken to a hospital by ambulance after troopers were called to a location along Main Road West, Upper Milford Township, 12:43 p.m. Oct. 2 for a person who seemed to have been assaulted, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Troopers determined the female was intoxicated. She also allegedly was uncooperative with troopers, according to authorities.
Theft from vehicle
A resident of Tuscany Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned multiple credit cards were removed from her vehicle and used in multiple stores, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 5 p.m. Oct. 2.
Altered check
A resident of Oak Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned someone removed a check he mailed from Trexlertown Post Office Sept. 27, altered the check from $176.50 to $1,076.50 and tried to cash the check at a bank on South Fourth Street in Allentown, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Bank personnel became suspicious and contacted the resident who confirmed the altered check was fraudulent. The check was not cashed.
