Allentown Central Catholic High School athletics continue to succeed in the playoff season.
Vikette tennis competed at the state finals Nov. 1 and 2. Congratulations to Vikettes Maddie Groff and Valentina Munoz who won fourth place in the 2A State Doubles Tournament.
The ACCHS cross-country team competed at The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. Cross-country State Championships Nov 2. Congratulations to the runners who achieved fifth place overall.
Girls soccer continues its season, winning against Wyomissing in the first round of states Nov. 5. Emma Devers and Delia McMullen both scored goals in the second half, securing the 2-1 win for the Vikettes.
Viking football finished its season Oct. 31, falling to Pottsville in the first game of districts.
Girls volleyball also ended its season Oct. 31, defeated by Southern Lehigh.
Congratulations to the ACCHS Scholastic Scrimmage team who defeated Marian Catholic High School in a first-round match on PBS39 Studios Oct. 25.
Great job to George Nimeh, Matt Alvarado, Jim Langan, Gabby Martinez and James Raynock.
On Nov. 1, winners of the Matthew Spade scholarship were recognized at the All Saints Day Mass. Congratulations to the following Class of 2028 students who were awarded these generous scholarships: Luis Aguilar, Pierce Ebert, Averie Eddinger, Joseph Kelly, McCoy Miller, Ansleigh Richardson, Cecilia Riedy, Riley Shoemaker, Destiny Tal and Milah Wininger.
Viking Ambassadors have been busy visiting partner schools, handing out spirit boxes to potential Class of 2029 students.
Ambassadors also speak to partner school students about the opportunities offered at ACCHS. The senior student council visited the partner school of St. Ann’s in Emmaus where they held a trunk-or-treat event Nov. 1. The Vikings wore Halloween costumes and handed out candy to the St. Ann’s students.
Senior Week was held Nov. 4-8. The Class of 2025 enjoyed themed out of uniform days and after school events. The themes included pajama day, homeroom colors day, costume day, barbecue dad vs. soccer mom and senior T-shirt day.
Events held included a movie night, tie-dyeing senior T-shirts, a scavenger hunt, senior Olympics and a special Senior Mass.
The annual National Honor Society canned food drive is Nov. 11-15. Students are encouraged to bring canned goods to homeroom to be collected.
The Central City Project will help with the distribution of food donations for those in need.
Join us at the open house 2-4 p.m. Nov. 17. ACCHS welcomes families to tour the campus, meet the principal and faculty, talk with current students and learn about clubs and activities.
Viking Christmas will be held during the open house in Rockne Hall. Visit the information tables and shop during the event.

The ACCHS Calendar Raffle is a fundraiser helping to reduce the tuition balance for ACCHS families. All ACCHS families can sell as many 12-month calendars as desired.

Tutoring is available to all students at ACCHS through National Honor Society and DeSales. Students should come to the media center before homeroom or visit the NHS table during lunch for help. Math tutoring sessions are also available in Room 4 with Mrs. Dunkle during all “Schedule 9” days.
