CMS News: Cherrydale fundraiser pickup scheduled for Nov. 14
Pickup for Catasauqua Middle School parent teacher forum’s Cherrydale fundraiser is planned for 4-5:30 p.m. Nov. 14. Principal Patrick McNulty reported the school will receive a percentage of the $10,000 total sales amount.
He also congratulated the top sellers — Jace Tavarez, Ian Adams and Emalina Hall in fifth grade; Chase Miskowsky in seventh grade; and Natalie Cooper in eighth grade. These students received a special lunch.

The PTF night at the Lehigh Valley Phantoms is scheduled for Nov. 16.

Catasauqua Community Cares Program is holding its annual winter coat drive. New and gently used coats, as well as hats and gloves, are being collected in bins at the district administration building, 201 N. 14th St.
Students and families in the district will be able to choose winter wear during the distribution event, scheduled for 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 16 in the board room of the district administration building.

The next CMS PTF meeting is set for 7 p.m. Nov. 19.

The middle school will have early dismissals Nov. 20 and 21. Students will be dismissed 12:20 p.m.
Parent-teacher conferences will be held later both days.

Thanksgiving festivities are approaching.
Turkey Day spirit week will feature different themes for each day.
• Nov. 25: Wear your jersey or sports shirt.
• Nov. 26: Wear yellow and blue for suicide prevention.
• Nov. 27: Wear the school colors of brown and white.
CMS students will take part in the Turkey Day pep rally at Catasauqua High School Nov. 27. There will be early dismissal Nov. 27, with CMS students being dismissed 11 a.m.
Schools will be closed for the holiday break Nov. 28-Dec. 2. Classes resume Dec. 3.
