Bernard “Buddy” Rusiewicz, 94, of Northampton, died Nov. 7, 2024, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of the late Alverta “Woo” (Lapachak) Rusiewicz.

Born in Shenandoah, he was the son of the late Bernard and Mary (Mazurkiewicz) Rusiewicz.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy

He worked at Durkee Foods for 38 years. He also was a part-time police officer in Northampton Borough.

He was a member of Northampton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714 and American Legion Post 355. He was a life member of Alliance Fire Company.

He was a member and pierogie volunteer at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church.

He is survived by cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by a son, Peter D.
