Weisenberg Lowhill Township Historical Society, 4585 Werleys Corner Road, New Tripoli, will have its 23rd annual fall basket social from 1-6 p.m. Nov. 8; and from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 9.

The Good Egg Food Truck will be on site from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Tickets may be purchased in sheets of 26.

Additional tickets will be available for purchase.

Early Bird opening of the Little Shopper’s Village along with the store being open, will take place 1-5 p.m. Nov. 23.

Proceeds from the Little Shopper’s Village benefit historical society children’s activities and programs.

The historical society will have its annual buffet style banquet 2 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Lynnport Fire Company, 7164 Behler Road, Lynnport. Speakers will be David and Jean Adam talking about “Having Fun with the Dialect.”

From now until the end of April 2025 the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program will be collecting coats, hats, gloves, scarves, winter shoes and boots.

Collected items can be placed on the historical society’s front porch, Werleys Corner Road side of the building, to make sure our community neighbors are warm.

Gently used or new items are welcomed and appreciated.

If you know of friends and neighbors who need these items, spread the word, and help them to care for neighbors in the community.

Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, is accepting orders until Nov. 10 for its R&K pretzel sandwich and sub sale.

Pretzel sandwiches available in chicken breast with Pepper Jack cheese, Italian, ham and cheese, ham and Swiss, turkey and cheese, roast beef and cheese, sweet Lebanon bologna and cheese, all cheese, chicken, egg, and tuna salad.

Subs available in spicy Italian with onions and peppers, Italian, ham, turkey, roast beef, American, with or without onions.

Also available are 12-inch whole grain roll with turkey and cheese with onion or all cheese and onion.
