On Nov. 14, the Emmaus Rotary Club will have an informational meeting for its signature study abroad program for high school students. The Rotary Youth Exchange Program involves Rotary Club organizations in over 100 countries, offering students the chance to spend a few weeks in the summer up to an entire school year in a foreign country. The specific countries available for this program depends on the Rotary Club chapter. This program is available only to high school students who are 15-19 years old. Students interested are encouraged to attend the informational session 3:30 p.m. in Room 13 and students who cannot attend in-person – as well as parents who would like to attend – can log into Zoom for the meeting at the same time using the link on the EHS website. Students can email Tammy Kita at tkita@eastpennsd.org for more information or if they are interested but cannot attend.
Emmaus High School’s school yearbook, The Tattler, will publish a spread in the 2024-2025 yearbook dedicated to the first day of this school year. Parents, students and community members with photos of students on Aug. 26 who would like to share should email Steve Braglio at sbraglio@eastpennsd.org.
The EHS Class of 2026 is having a fundraiser through Gertrude Hawk Chocolates. Students, parents, teachers and community members looking to support the junior class can purchase chocolate bars from the EHS Class of 2026 fundraiser online using the organization ID 705256. Alternatively, juniors can order using packets they received in their 11th grade English classes. The chocolates are available to order online until Dec. 8, according to EHS.
Students are reminded that for graduating students’ photos to appear on the Jumbotron screen during graduation, all seniors must get senior portraits taken through local photography company Wesley Works Photography. Wesley Works will offer an in-school session for seniors 1-4 p.m. Nov. 12 at EHS. Seniors getting their photo taken should line up outside the side of the auditorium. Even if students are getting their photo taken at the in-school session they must still schedule the session at wesleyworks.com/seniors. If they have not yet gotten their picture taken, students have until Dec. 1 to do so through Wesley Works.
