Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church member
Walter M. Waggoner, 96, of Whitehall, died Oct. 31, 2024. He was the husband of Mary (Zimnisky) Waggoner for 73 years.
Born in Columbus, Kan., he was a son of the late Clytie Mae (Roark) and Walter Miles Waggoner Sr.
He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1949.
He was a welder and foreman for Air Products for 35 years before retiring.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, where he served as an usher for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Diane and AnnMarie Eckert and husband Boyd; a grandson, Jonathan Eckert and wife Jennifer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Sam L. and Stanley R.
There will be a calling time 9-10 a.m., followed by a funeral service 10 a.m., Nov. 9 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
