Viola C. Hertzog

Viola “Vi” C. Hertzog, 71, of Bethlehem, died unexpectedly on Sept. 9, 2024.

Born and raised in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Elmer Noss.

A graduate of Dieruff High School, she earned a degree from Lehigh University College of Business.

She was employed by Lehigh County Veterans Affairs for more than 30 years, finalizing her career as the assistant director.

During the same time, she worked as a police security officer in Lehigh County, ending her career as a police lieutenant.

She especially enjoyed photography, the beach and her grandchildren, whom she cherished very much.

Survivors include her son Shawn A. Wagner of Bethlehem; grandchildren Tegan, Tori and Shawn P. Wagner, and Tristen Burrell of Virginia; brothers William Noss (Kim) of Tennessee and Elmer Noss Jr. (Francine) of Emmaus.

Her family will receive guests in the Mausoleum Chapel of Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown, beginning 10:30 a.m. Nov. 1, followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. officiated by the Rev. Fr. Joseph J. Kweder.
