Queenship of Mary Church member
Reinhold “Ray” Guignet, 90, of Walnutport, died Oct. 27, 2024, at Parkland Manor in Allentown. He was the husband of Patricia (Transue) Guignet for 61 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Paul C. and Eunice V. (Dudding) Guignet.
He was a graduate of William Allen High School.
He served in the U.S. Army.
After the Army, he owned a small grocery store and an apartment building. He was the owner of Guignet’s Floral and Garden Shoppe for 52.5 years with his wife.
He was an active member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church in Northampton.
He was an active member and former president of the Lehigh Valley Florist Association for several years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patrice A. Arnold and partner Randy Altemose of Mount Pocono and Pamela R. and fiance Brant Nougle of Palmerton; a son, Rodney S. and fiancee Patricia Logenhagen of Port Charlotte, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Megan, Andrew, Ashleigh, Kayla, Nicholas, Alyssa, Stephen, Austin and Nathan; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, John and his wife Elsie.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Wogan and Alta; and a brother, Paul.
There will be calling times 7-9 p.m. Oct. 31 and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Nov. 1 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, 18067. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Nov. 1 at the church, 1324 Newport Avenue, Northampton.
