Lower Macungie Township Manager named compliance officer

At the Oct. 17 Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting, Resolution 2024-48 was approved.

This resolution approves post issuance compliance procedures related to the 2024 General Obligation Bond and appoints the township manager as the compliance officer.

The compliance officer, Lower Macungie Township Manager Bruce Beitel, will report to the commissioners properly and timely compliance procedures.

Shawn Scott was approved as special fire police through Resolution 2024-49.

In other meeting news, the bill list was presented and approved. Details of these transactions can be found on the Lower Macungie Township website, www.lowermac.com.

Meeting minutes were approved for Sept. 19 and Oct. 3.

Jeffery Machik submitted a statement of interest to remain on the building code board of appeals.

Camellia Baker made a statement of interest for the vacancy board and to remain on the parks and recreation board.

David Nosal sent a thank-you note for recognizing his years of service. He also expressed thanks for the plaque he received for his years of service as the township’s fire chief.

Budget workshops were scheduled Oct. 24, 28 and, if needed, Oct. 31 and Nov. 4. Workshops begin 6 p.m.
