Catasauqua: Church plans market, raffle

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will be hosting a flea market, basket raffle, cafe, bake sale and boutique event 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 2. Come hungry and ready to have a fun time browsing all the treasures.

The boutique is a magical trove of antiques and special collectibles. The cafe will serve breakfast and lunch.

Funds raised from this event go to help support local charities for families in need.

For questions, contact the church office at 610-264-2595.

Don’t forget to turn your clocks back Nov. 3, as daylight saving time will end.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., reminds its congregation that, if you shop at Redner’s, be sure to get a save-a-tape card at the customer service desk.

When you make a purchase, give your card to the cashier to scan. The total points will show at the bottom of your receipt. Place your receipts in the basket in the giving area in the back of the sanctuary so the points can be submitted.

Holy Trinity receives 1% of the purchase (excluding milk, tobacco and tax). At $1 for every $100 spent, this can add up to a significant contribution.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., West Catasauqua, now has computers available for public use 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. If you find you are in need of a computer to check emails or items on the internet, please stop by.

The computers must be used at the center and may not leave the building. Use the computers with discretion, and practice internet safety.

If you have any questions, call the center at 610-443-0675 or stop by to check it out.
