Patricia Louise Ackerman, 72, of Bethlehem, died October 19, 2024, at Brian D. Pernin Hospice House, formerly Saint Luke’s Hospice House. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of Ferdinand and Dorothea (Reese) Ackerman. She once was the wife of the late Geza P. Burkit Sr.

She was a 1971 Liberty HS graduate.

She worked at Holtz and Company, and later Dempsey’s restaurant.

She was a member of Holy Ghost German Catholic Church, now Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She is survived by two sons, Geza P. Jr. and Robert D. and wife Malinda; a daughter, Kathleen R.; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Julie Burkit; three siblings, Sharon (Ackerman) Johnson wife of the late Russell Johnson, Matthew Ackerman and James Ackerman and his wife Valerie; two nephews, James and Shawn Ackerman; and a niece, Tabitha (Johnson) Hannum.

She was predeceased by a brother, Frederick P. Ackerman.
