Take a ‘virtual walking tour of God’s Acre,’

The Emmaus Historical Society’s November program and membership meeting will be 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at St. John’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall, 501 Chestnut St. The program, titled “A Virtual Walking Tour of God’s Acre, the First Cemetery in Emmaus,” will be presented by former president, Jeanne Harakal, who has provided many tours of this historical site before. Programs are free and members and nonmembers are welcome to attend.

The historical society’s museum committee is appreciative of all the donations of memorabilia that came from, was used or enjoyed by those in Emmaus. Call the office at 610-966-6591 to inquire whether what you have is what they want. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. On Nov. 9, Emmaus Moravian Church, 146 Main St., Emmaus, will host its annual holiday craft and vendor show 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free and lunch will be available for purchase at the event. Emmaus Public Library is hosting a virtual Halloween parade. Come in costume Oct. 26 through Oct. 31 and receive a treat (candy and.or non-candy). The library staff will take your photo for the virtual parade.

Many events are planned at the library during the month of November. CPR training will be provided 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 11. Call 610-965-9284 to RSVP.

A Dinosaur Dig with Mike and Roberta Straka will be held 11 a.m. to noon Nov. 2.

The library will host a donation drive during the month of November to benefit The Sanctuary at Haafsville. Find the full list of needed items at emmauspl.org. Visit the website for a full list of events.

The library will be closed 5 p.m. Nov. 27 through Nov. 29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
