Salisbury High School kicks off fall with fundraisers and events

The Salisbury High School community is gearing up for a busy and exciting fall season filled with opportunities for students, families and local residents to get involved and support student activities. With a variety of events and fundraisers planned, there’s no shortage of opportunity to make a positive impact.

Kicking off the month, the Salisbury cheerleading team is hosting a Kendra Scott fundraiser through Oct. 27. During this time, 20% of all proceeds from online purchases made using the code GIVEBACK-HGAKF will go directly to benefit the team. Supporters can shop online at kendrascott.com to purchase items. With the holiday season approaching, this fundraiser also serves as a great opportunity for those looking to buy gifts while simultaneously contributing to a hardworking group of student athletes. With a variety of options to choose from, it makes it easy to give back.

Meanwhile, Salisbury’s field hockey team has been striving this season, with a 15-3 record in their regular season. Their performance led them to the league playoffs, where they advanced through three rounds and finished as the runner-up in the championship. While the team has districts ahead in the near future, the community can continue showing support by participating in their upcoming clothing drive Nov. 2.

This event invites people to donate gently used clothing, which will not only benefit the field hockey team but also provide assistance to families in need. It’s a wonderful way to support local students while contributing to a charitable cause.

Looking ahead, there will be a bonfire hosted by Salisbury’s Key Club Nov. 15 when the high school will come alive with food trucks, face painting, bake sales and more. This annual event brings together students, families and community members for an evening of fun. The bonfire promises to be a great time for people of all ages to enjoy while strengthening the sense of community spirit. Anyone interested in learning more about the event can reach out to bfrick@salisburysd.org.

From fundraising to festivities, SHS provides plenty of opportunities for people to get involved, have fun and give back. Whether supporting the cheerleaders through their online fundraiser, donating to the field hockey team’s clothing drive or attending the bonfire, there’s something for everyone to take part in this fall. Through these events, Salisbury continues to build a stronger, more connected community.
