The season will come to an end this week for the both Salisbury High School soccer teams.
The boys team defeated Catasauqua (0-13-0 Colonial, 4-13-0 overall) by a score of 3-2 recently for its first league win of the season, upping its record to 1-10-0 in the Colonial League and 3-12-0 overall. The Falcons got two goals from Josh Hudak and Christian Marinos added the third goal.
This week, Salisbury plays its final road game at Southern Lehigh (10-1-1, 13-2-2) before wrapping up the season at home against Moravian Academy (9-3-0, 11-5-0) on Thursday.
The Lady Falcons tied Catasauqua (3-9-1, 4-11-1) recently in a 1-1 game with Gabi Pena getting the Salisbury goal on an assist from Ellyana Beletiere-Bieber. Moravian Academy (13-1-0, 14-2-0) then downed Salisbury 8-0.
The final week of the season will be a busy one for the Falcons as they play three games in four days.
Their final league game of the season is up first as they host Southern Lehigh (8-4-1-, 9-7-1) before playing a pair on nonleague games starting with a trip to Oley Valley (0-15-1) and then hosting East Stroudsburg North (2-13-0 EPC, 2-14-0) on Friday.
