In partnership with Lowe’s stores in the Lehigh Valley, employees worked with Laury’s Station Volunteer Fire Company members to renovate the fire station.

The work began on Sept. 13 with Lowe’s employees from Bethlehem, Whitehall and Easton undertaking the renovations. The project is expected to be completed by Nov. 15.

The program was funded by a $93,000 grant from Lowe’s Hometown program which assists nonprofit organizations to “restore and revitalize spaces throughout the country.”

Alia Greb, wife of Laury’s Station Fire Chief Christopher Greb researched grant programs from numerous agencies and found Lowe’s Hometown program.

According to Chief Greb, there are several more weeks of work to be done before the end date.
