Falcon soccer teams play final games of ‘24 season

The soccer season has come to an end for Salisbury with both the boys and girls teams missing the league and district playoffs.

Over the final week of the season, the Lady Falcons (0-13-1 Colonial, 0-17-2 overall) played two games. The first was a nonleague game at Oley Valley where they fell 6-1 and then they wrapped up the regular season with another nonleague matchup at home as the fell to East Stroudsburg North in a 3-2 contest.

The losses gave Salisbury four losses in a row to end the season after it had gained its second tie of the season against Catasauqua back in early October.

The girls team graduates five seniors, including Ellyana Belletiere Bieber, Scarlet Lang, Izzy Munoz, Gabi Pena, and Ariana Tacuri.

After beating Catasauqua, the boys team lost its final two games of the season as the Falcons fell to Southern Lehigh 5-2 on the road and then were shutout 6-0 by Moravian Academy in the final regular season game at home. The Falcons finished league play with a 1-12 record and went 3-14-0 overall on the season.

This season’s roster had a total of six senior players including William Barndt, Brandon Handwerk, Josh Hudak, Connor Leavy, Jaden Ortega, and Pablo Reyes.
