The Salisbury High School cross country teams are nearing the postseason. The Falcons headed into this week with just one regular season meet remaining and the Colonial League Championships coming up next week.
Salisbury’s boys team is 4-21 heading into Tuesday’s regular season finale at Northwestern Lehigh, while the Falcon girls team is 1-23-1.
Salisbury picked up two wins in the boys race at Lehighton on Sept. 24, going 2-5 at the meet.
Three Falcon boys finished within a few seconds of one another as Emerson Juhasz (20:50.27) finished 33rd, Cameron Kubinsky (20:55.5) was 34th and Gregory Tenzer (21:01.33) 36th. Joshua Orach (60th) and Rafael Carpo (87th) rounded out the Falcons’ top five. Riley Nemitz (89th) and Jonah Nemitz (92nd) also ran for the Falcons.
In the girls race at Lehighton, Salisbury’s Shelby Tenzer finished 38th.
In last week’s meet at Palisades, Juhasz (41st), Gregory Tenzer (42nd) and Kubinsky (43rd) once again ran together, followed by teammates Orach (71st) and Carpo (94th). Riley Nemitz (95th) wasn’t far behind and Jonah Nemitz was 100th in the race.
In the girls race at Palisades, Samantha Conrad led Salisbury with a 50th-place finish, followed by teammates Soledad Lausch (55th), Shelby Tenzer (56th) and Rachel McKelvey (59th).
