EHS girls soccer heads into EPCs as No. 4 seed

The Emmaus girls soccer team finished the season 14-2-2 overall and 13-2-1 in East Penn Conference play.

The Hornets earned the No. 4 seed for this week’s East Penn Conference playoffs, which began Tuesday.

Emmaus played its final two regular season games last week, beating Liberty 5-0 on Oct. 7 before falling to Parkland 1-0 to end the regular season.

In the win over Liberty, Giuliana Meyer scored two goals while teammates Lizzie Bender, Gabby Powell and Ella Scharper scored once each. Bender also posted two assists, while Scharper had one. Goalie Ashley Stine had one save.

Emmaus hosted No. 5 seed Northampton in Tuesday’s EPC quarterfinals. A win over the Kids would put Emmaus in Thursday’s semifinals against either top-seeded Central Catholic or No. 8 Whitehall.
