EHS favorites again in district

The District 11 field hockey tournament gets underway this week and Liberty comes in with a tall task in their opening round as the eighth seed.

The Hurricanes will take on top-seeded Emmaus in Thursday’s quarterfinals. It’s a rematch of Liberty’s EPC quarterfinal showdown against Emmaus, where the Hornets ran away with an 11-0 victory.

The rest of the bracket features fourth-seeded Parkland taking on fifth-seeded Stroudsburg, while third-seeded Easton faces sixth-seeded Northampton in the bottom half of the bracket. Nazareth comes in as the second seed and faces seventh-seeded Whitehall in the opener.

Semifinals are slated for Oct. 29 with finals to be played on October 31.
