PRESS PHOTOS BY KATHY HASSICKOn Oct. 9, the Salisbury High School cafeteria was the site of a districtwide multicultural celebration that included the sounds of music curated by students and a diverse (and delicious) variety of ethnic foods. ABOVE: Two local restaurants La Parada Del Sabor and Cuquita Restaurant provide food representing Spanish and Columbian cultures while many families provide some of their favorite dishes from countries such as Haiti, Honduras, Portugal and Syria to name a few.
Salisbury Elementary School students Kiara and Chloe Garcia, wearing special dresses representing their culture, sample some of the scrumptious foods offered during the multicultural night.
Enjoying dishes such as pastelillos de carne, sweet platanos, spicy pikliz, baleadas and baklava are Ruth Gerve, Noah Cepoudy, Ginette Seraphin and Loudjyanha Gerve.
ESL students Ariana Tacuvi, Iskander Valdez, Cristal and Loeh Espinal enjoy food and fellowship during the multicultural night celebration.
