The Parkland School Board recently authorized pay increases for four central administrators following completion of an annual evaluation process.

Salary increases for the 2024-25 school term were granted unanimous approval at the school board’s Sept. 17 meeting.

Superintendent Dr. Mark Madson will now receive $210,000.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Michelle Minotti will be paid $166,881 and Assistant Superintendent Tim Charones will receive $150,344.

Director of Business Administration Leslie Frisbie will be paid $180,006.

All four individuals received salary increases in June at the same time numerous other district administrative employees were granted annual upgrades.

The superintendent’s salary history goes from $189,024 for 2023-24 to $194,695, before the latest adjustment.

The business director’s salary increased from $169,909 for 2023-24 to $175,006 before the September increase.

Looking at revenue coming into the district, Director of Technology Tom Derhammer reported at the Sept. 9 committee meeting on some returns for used items.

He said the district received a check for $95,044 from TekSavers Inc. for a buy back of 1,209 iPads.

In another matter, Derhammer noted the technology department upgraded network switches across the district and solicited buy back proposals from prospective vendors.

He said the highest response came from Revolving Networks with an offer of $55,920 for 155 old switches and accessories.
