Willard “Sonny” “Box” H. Buchman, 92, of Walnutport and formerly of Whitehall, died Oct. 9, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Irma H. (Duld) Buchman for 64 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Willard M. and Marie G. (Dorward) Buchman.
He was a 1950 graduate of Allentown High School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a tractor-trailer driver at Mack Trucks in Allentown before retiring in 1987. Earlier, he worked for General Electric Apparatus Service.
He was a former board member of Fullerton Athletic Association and was a former shop steward for the United Auto Workers Union.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bret W. Buchman and wife Patricia of Whitehall and Barry J. Buchman and wife Maria of Quinton, Va.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Alvin M. Buchman.
Arrangements were made by J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
