Stanley Edwin Smith, 91, of Northampton and formerly of Macungie, died Oct. 16, 2024. He was the husband of Sharon Smith for 29 years.
Born in Mertztown, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Amelia W. (Schaeffer) Smith.
He honorably served as a corporal in the U.S. Army as a field wire chief during the Korean War. He was attached to 151 Engineer Headquarter Company Combat Battalion.
Following his military service, he worked at Emmaus Foundry for 36 years and worked several years at Luther Crest in Allentown. He spent 29 years delivering The Morning Call newspapers.
He was a member of Heidelberg Union Church.
He was a lifetime member of Macungie Fire House.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Bruce of Wescosville, Arnette Clouse of Slatington, Stephen with Denise of Emmaus and Anna Eisenhard with Stephen of Allentown; three siblings, Althea, Kenneth and Robert; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by an infant daughter; a grandson, Derek; a great-grandson, Tyson; and five siblings, Cleon, Willard, Lorraine, Arlenand GlenRoy.
