Sheckler Elementary School’s Halloween parade will be 1:30 p.m. Oct. 25. Students’ costumes should not show blood, pain or injuries. Props involving weapons or violence are not permitted.

Classroom parties for students will follow the parade, and parents/guardians are not permitted to enter the building.

Catasauqua Youth Athletic Association is hosting a trunk or treat 6-8 p.m. Oct. 25 at Opportunity Field, 890 Walnut St. There will be candy, snacks and costume prizes for all.

The rain date will be 5-7 p.m. Oct 27.

The Cub Scouts are looking for new members. Scouting is for boys and girls in grades K-12 who have an interest in outdoor activities and earning merit badges.
