Army veteran of Korean War
Robert B. Wieand, 94, of Emmaus, died peacefully Oct. 15, 2024, at Country Meadows of Allentown. He and his wife, Jeanette “Dolly” (Moll) Wieand, would have been married 68 years in November. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Albert B. and Kathryn (Bauman) Wieand.
He was a partner with his late brother, Richard, at Wieand Block Co., Inc. in Emmaus for 40 years until retiring in 1996.
He was a former member of the Emmaus Rotary Club and a lifetime member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus. He was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1947 and was vice president of his class. He was also a graduate of Gettysburg College in 1951.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emmaus.
In addition to his wife, Dolly, he is survived by sons, Robert M. (Lindy), Michael R. (Melissa), Steven A. (Ray); brother, Albert (Katrina); grandchildren, Daniel and Joseph (Ali), Alison Moyer, Rachel Boggia, Dominic Mannello; great-grandchildren, Skyler and Gaige Richardson, Kalista, Cassidy and Natalie Moyer. He was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Reimert; brother, Richard; grandson, Daniel Richardson.
