Lehigh Township Fire Police member
Peter E. Kilpatrick, 78, of Lehigh Township, died Oct. 15, 2024, at home. He was the husband of Joanne (Kochie) Kilpatrick for 59 years.
Born in Easton, he was the son of the late Elmer C. and Dorothy A. (Nagle) Kilpatrick.
He served his country as an Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was last employed as a truck driver for Conway Central Express, Fogelsville, for 16 years before retiring in 2008. Earlier, he worked in the same capacity for Friedmans Express Inc., Bath, for 20 years.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Walnutport.
He was a member of Lehigh Township Fire Company on the fire police squad. He was also a longtime member of Teamsters Trucking Union Local 773.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Peter E. of Nazareth and Timothy M. and wife Lori of Palmerton; a daughter, Catherine A. and husband Richard Houser of Nazareth; a brother, David and wife Wanda of Crossville, Tenn.; a sister, Dacia and husband David Lenox of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren, Joel, Ryan, Samantha and Derrick; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sisters, June Tobias and Sandra Carr; and a brother, Craig Kilpatrick.
Services will be private.
