John P. Fisher, 101, of Harlem, Berks County, formerly of Emmaus, died in his home Oct. 12, 2024. He and his wife, Miriam A. (Yeakel) Fisher, celebrated 75 years of marriage. Born in Hereford, he was the son of the late Kenneth J. and Bertha (Hertzog) Fisher.
He was a member of Old Zionsville United Church of Christ and former member of the Consistory.
He was an U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II.
He was a member for 73 years and served as a past officer of the Saucon Lodge #469 F & AM in Coopersburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John P. Jr.; daughter, Cynthia Reichard and her husband, David; grandchildren, Micah, Yarrow, Kari, Colin; great-grandchildren, Kori, Gavin, Kira, Isobel; great-great-granddaughter, Kaia.
Graveside services will be held 12:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
