CMS News: Red Ribbon Week continues Oct. 24, 25

Red Ribbon Week continues at Catasauqua Middle School, with themed days all week.

• Oct. 24: Dress like a celebrity.

• Oct. 25: Have fun with Boo Bash.

Students are allowed to wear Halloween costumes Oct. 25. Items not acceptable include face coverings, masks and look-alike weapons.

Eighth-grade students will enjoy a Weller Center presentation on brain health Oct. 24.

Picture retake day is scheduled for Oct. 28.

The first marking period ends Oct. 30. Report cards will be available Nov. 5 on the parent portal.

The CMS eighth-grade students will take a trip to Lehigh Career and Technical Institute Nov. 6.

There will be no classes for Catasauqua Area School District students Nov. 11. Teachers will have an in-service day.

Catasauqua Community Cares Program is holding its annual winter coat drive. New and gently used coats, as well as hats and gloves, are being collected in bins at the district administration building.

Students and families in the district will be able to choose winter wear during the distribution event, scheduled for 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 16.
