Kasey (Kay Ann Wells) Renowden, 78, died Oct. 6, 2024. Born in Hillsdale, Michigan, she was a daughter of Cpl. Franz F. Wells, U.S. Army Air Corps and Claramae (Wolf) Wells. She was the wife of Joseph D. Renowden since 1968.
She graduated from Fremont HS, Indiana. She earned a BA in elementary education from Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan.
She was a teacher for grades one through six.
She worked in the church office and was on the council at First United Methodist of Jupiter-Tequesta, Florida, for many years. She attended Wesley Church, Bethlehem, participated in the church prayer group and visitation and was a Stephen minister.
She wrote a number of children’s short stories and birthday, holiday and special event cards. She was a troop leader and worked at Girl Scouts of America in Miami, Florida.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Julianne and Deborah; family; and friends.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Special Olympics, a local no-kill animal shelter or a charity of one’s choosing.
