John James Desmond construction manager

John “Jack” James Desmond, 94, of Bethlehem, died October 16, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Queens, New York, he was a son of the late John Joseph and Margaret Mary (Ward) Desmond. He was the husband of the late Mary R. (Garcia) Desmond.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Seton Hall University and graduated at the top of his class.

He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He worked in construction management for many decades. He was often requested to serve as an expert witness.

He was an active member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.

He is survived by two children, Robert J. of Bethlehem and Pamela M. of Stamford, Connecticut.

He was predeceased by a brother, Cornelius “Connie” J. Desmond.
