Hotel Bethlehem shares cheer

Fresh from being voted America’s #1 Historic Hotel in the USA Today 10 Best Historic Hotels/Resorts contest for the fourth year in a row, the Historic Hotel Bethlehem said thank you to the Lehigh Valley community with an appreciation event Sept. 15. Free ice cream, sundaes and root beer floats were served to attendees as live music from the Castaways provided an enjoyable backdrop to the afternoon festivities on Main Street.

Hotel Bethlehem managing partner Bruce Haines welcomed public supporters and thanked the over 200 employees for their support.

“We hit the grand slam,” said Haines, and he thanked the Lehigh Valley IronPigs baseball team for their support during the voting process.

Haines also introduced current Hotel ‘B’ ambassador, Lehigh University All-American wrestler Ryan Crookham and welcomed a second Lehigh All-American wrestler, Luke Stanich. A special sundae in their honor, ‘Blue Berry Pie’, was also announced and available for 50 percent off during the event. The Hotel is a major sponsor of Lehigh University’s wrestling team.

Additional activities included guided tours of Hotel Bethlehem guest rooms, the Suites at 462 with their window views of Main Street, and the Steel Magnolia Spa & Salon.

Hotel staff also led walking tours along Church Street through the recently named UNESCO World Heritage Site Moravian Church Settlement and a visit to the Kemmerer Museum to view the new ‘Checking In? Bethlehem’s Alluring Accommodations’ exhibit.

Serving the Bethlehem area and Lehigh Valley community for over 100 years, the Historic Hotel Bethlehem has now been named USA Today’s #1 Best Historic Hotel in the Nation in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
