Chief Human Resources Officer Dr. John Burris gave a very thorough review of changes in sexual harassment policies: Title IX is a federal law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in education programs and activities that receive federal funding. Burris said verbiage changes alter the seriousness and level of violation when talking about harassment, stalking or abuse. The 2024 Title IX also requires that a party report knowledge of any type of harassment.
Reports no longer need to be written but can now be verbally reported.
