Who would kiss Brook? Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong or Cedarbrook Director Jason Cumello?

It was Kiss the Piglet at the Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, South Whitehall on Sept. 20.

The unsuspecting piglet was tasked with being kissed by either Lehigh County Executive Phillips Armstrong or Cedarbrook Director/Administrator Jason Cumello, whomever raised the lesser amount of money for the Cedarbrook Auxiliary.

As it turned out, the “winner” or more likely the “loser” was Armstrong having raised a mere $93 compared to Cumello’s $110.

Cedarbrook residents gathered in the auditorium to witness the spectacle and cheer on their favorite loser.

The four-month-old girl piglet arrived on time from Hillside Acres Farm, Lenhartsville, in the company of farm owner Matt Olmstead.

An important of the pageant was the naming of this little girl by the staff and residents.

Numerous names were suggested, but the consensus was for “Brook” in honor of Cedarbrook.

When the moment arrived for the kiss, Armstrong very carefully held the little girl up and kissed “Brook.”

Not wanting to miss the excitement, Cumello was not at all hesitant to kiss the beautiful little piglet.
