Roma L. Handwerk, 94, formerly of Walnutport, died Oct. 12, 2024, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall.

She was the wife of the late Gordon R. Handwerk.

Born Feb. 21, 1930, in Ironton, North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Amos D. and Emma P. (Helfrich) Kleckner.

She was a merchandising clerk for the former Western Electric (Lucent Technologies), Allentown for 35 years before retiring in 1987.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, and a volunteer for the Western Electric Retirees.

Her survivors include many beloved nieces and nephews; and those whom she called, “Her Kids,” Terrilin Hutterer (Mark), Jacqueline Tucker, and their children, Lindsey and Chase Hutterer, and Charlie Kenney.

She was predeceased by siblings Amos P. Kleckner, Catherine E. Schumaker, Lillian M. Emig, Alice I. Bostick, Mabel E. Kern, Mamie I. Bair, Francis C., Harold B., Earl A. and Arlene F. Kleckner; and companion, Emil Margine.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Oct. 22 at Union UCC, 5550 Route 873, Neffs, with Pastor Carrie Beleno officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Tuesday before the service.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
