Lehigh Valley Haunts is planned for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24. Local dark side storyteller Ellen Flynn will join us again to tell some Lehigh Valley tales. This program is for adults ages 18 and up.

Get ready for Halloween at Hallow-Read, set for noon Oct. 26. Kids can come for food, games and crafts run by our Teen Advisory Board.

Ages 12 months to sixth grade are welcome to participate. Costumes are encouraged!

The library is excited to welcome Michael Jesberger back for his Hessian Prisoners in Pennsylvania program 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29.

Learn how the Continental Army dealt with enemy prisoners captured in battle. Eyewitness accounts highlight some of the experiences of German and British prisoners of war during the American Revolution in the Pennsylvania region.

Fall storytimes have begun. Register your child for one of our sessions.

Preschool storytime, for ages 37 months to kindergarten, will be held 11 a.m. Tuesdays or 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays, and toddler storytime, for ages 12-36 months, will be 11 a.m. Thursdays.

The library has a number of clubs that meet monthly.

The book club for adults meets 1 p.m. the first Thursday of every month. Come discuss what you’re currently reading.

The coloring club for adults meets 11 a.m. the first and third Thursdays and 5:30-7:30 p.m. the first Tuesday.

The Good Yarn group meets for knitting, crocheting and other needle crafts 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.

Teens interested in volunteering can join the Teen Advisory Board. Meetings are 1:30 p.m. one Saturday a month.
