Northampton: Annual parade set for Oct. 17

The Jack Frost Parade takes place 7 p.m. Oct. 17. Put on your favorite costume, and come join the festivities!

A halupki dinner will be held 4-6 p.m. Oct. 19 at Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave. Dinners include two halupkies, mashed potatoes, roll and a cupcake for dessert. Dinners will be for eat-in or takeout.

Tickets can be purchased at the door.

The Northampton Exchange Club will present its fall craft fair 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 20 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. There will be more than 80 crafters, food for sale, free admission and free parking.

Siegfried Railroad Station Museum will be open to visitors 1-4 p.m. Oct. 20.

Artifacts from Northampton and the surrounding area are housed in the museum at West 21st and Canal streets. Scrapbooks holding newspaper pictures of area men and women who served in the military in World War II are available to be viewed. Pictures of school buildings in Northampton Area School District are also on display.

This is the last Sunday the station is scheduled to be open this year.

St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 105 E. 19th St., is planning its fourth trunk-or-treat community event, set for 2-4 p.m. Oct. 27.

Each year brings more families, and the church is currently in need of more cars and tables. If you would like to be part of this year’s fun, the church asks you to register. To reserve a spot for your decorated car, truck or table, sign up on the sheet at the mission table, on the church website or contact Mindy Does.

An organ concert will be held 3 p.m. Nov. 10 in the sanctuary at Grace UCC. Marisa Deshler, the minister of music at Grace, will be performing some of her favorite organ works on the Schantz pipe organ.

A freewill offering will be accepted to benefit Grace’s handbell restoration project. There will be refreshments in the fellowship hall following the concert.
