Marilyn E. Werley, 86, of Weisenberg Township, died at home Oct. 10, 2024. She was the wife of Roger A. Werley for 59 years this past July. Born in North Whitehall Township, she was a daughter of the late Russel and Arlene (Semmel) Haas.
She was a member of, and very active in, Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ in Alburtis. She was also the secretary at the church for 17 years before retiring. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning and baking as well as traveling with her husband and spending time at their house in the Pocono Mountains.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Pamela Landis (Mario), of Emmaus, Deborah Gross (Allen), of Zionsville; brothers, Darwin Haas (Grace), of Orefield, Wayne Haas (Carol), of Kempton; grandchildren, Victoria, Serena, Amber, Joshua; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Laird Haas; Shirley Wisser.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Oct. 22 at Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Quarry Road # 1, Alburtis. Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m.
