Catasauqua: Police department to hold trunk or treat

Catasauqua Police Department will hold a trunk or treat 6-8 p.m. Oct. 19 at Catasauqua Park and Playground, 501 American St. There will also be a haunted house tour through the pool house 6-9 p.m. that night.

These events are open to the public. No registration is required for the trunk or treat, but there is a fee for the haunted house tour.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 122 Union St., will be holding Fall Into Cash bingo Oct. 20, starting 1 p.m. The doors and kitchen open 11:30 a.m.

The kitchen will offer snacks and bingo favorites. You may BYOB, but no other outside food or beverage is permitted.

There will be 15 games, six specials, a special jackpot and cash prizes. Seating is first come, first served. Bring your daubers but no hard boards. Additional game sheets will be available to purchase.

The Morning Glories of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church will next meet 10 a.m. Oct. 21 at the church, 604 Fourth St. The speaker will be from the Clubhouse of the Lehigh Valley.

Collection items this month include adult-sized men’s and women’s coats and personal hygiene products. The group will also be selecting a holiday hope chest child.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will be offering a monthly free community lunch 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 21. Come on out for some great food and camaraderie with fellow Catasauqua residents.

Catty Seniors Plus will next meet Oct. 23 at Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua. The doors open noon, and the meeting starts 1 p.m.

The meeting consists of the Halloween party with a luncheon and a best costume contest with prizes. You must be registered to attend. Coffee and dessert will be served, followed by bingo.

There will be a J4 meeting 7 p.m. Oct. 24 at North Catasauqua Borough Hall, 1066 Fourth St. The meeting will be held to discuss having a J4 Committee Celebration July 4 weekend of 2026. All are welcome.

George Taylor House Association, Lehigh and Poplar streets, will be holding the annual Harvest and Haunts fall festival 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 26.

Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., will hold a chicken dinner 5-7 p.m. Oct. 18. The meal includes half of a chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, roll and butter. It is open to the public.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua will be hosting a flea market, basket raffle, cafe, bake sale and boutique event 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 2. Come hungry and ready to have a fun time browsing all the treasures.

The boutique is a magical trove of antiques and special collectibles. The cafe will serve breakfast and lunch.

Funds raised from this event go to help support local charities for families in need.
