The Emmaus cross country teams started the East Penn Conference dual meet season 3-0 last week at Stroudsburg.

Emmaus girls runners took the top three places and six of the top seven spots in the race.

Mady McCartney finished first overall, followed by Payton Campbell and Addison Johnson in second and third place, respectively. Isabella Scarlatta (5th) and Olivia Fleck (6th) were also part of the Hornets’ team score, while Grace Nosal (7th) was just outside of the team’s top five.

The Hornet boys team was led by Jared Petre’s second-place overall finish. Teammates Richard Will (4th), Ryan Fach (5th), Calvin Schucker (13th) and Evan Busse (14th) also helped the Hornets’ team score.
