The Emmaus cross country teams were both 8-1 heading into this week with two regular season dual meets remaining on the schedule.

Emmaus teams both went 3-0 at a meet Sept. 17 hosted by the Hornets at Camp Olympic. The boys team beat Freedom 26-33, Bethlehem Catholic 15-50 and Liberty 16-47. The Emmaus girls team topped Freedom and Bethlehem Catholic by identical 15-50 scores and downed Liberty 21-40.

Mady McCartney and Payton Campbell finished first and second overall, respectively, to lead Emmaus. Isabella Scarlata (6th), Addison Johnson (7th) and Grace Nosal (8th) made up the rest of the Hornets’ team score.

In the boys race, which was won by Freedom’s Dylan Boyle, Conor Fisher led Emmaus with a third-place overall finish. Richard Will (5th) Ryan Fach (7th), Jared Petre (8th) and Calvin Schucker (13th).

Results from last Tuesday’s meet at Nazareth were not received by the Press.
