RuthAnn Scherer, 84, formerly of Allentown, died Sept. 17, 2024, at Fellowship Community where she resided. She was the wife of the late Lowell T. Scherer.

Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Gordon B. and Esther B. (Schleicher) Henry.

A charge nurse at Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, South Whitehall, for 15 years, she retired in 1995. Earlier, she was a school nurse at Lehigh County Community College and the former Vo-Tech, Schnecksville, and St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 492, Catasauqua.

She is survived by two children, J. Scott with Theodora Lazou of Whitehall and Lori A. Pfeiffer and husband Keith of Allentown; a daughter-in-law, Dee Dee of Allentown; and four grandsons, Jonathan, Matthew, Brent and Michael.

She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey R.; a brother, Robert K. Henry; and a grandson, Joseph.
